From Prose to Poems

Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:45 p.m.

Want to learn how to write a poem or a collection of poetry from your life experience? In this workshop, you’ll learn about:

  • Narrative, rhymes, personification styles of poems
  • Line stanzas, being a radar to a potential poem, the poetic verse
  • How to publish a collection of your poems and more

The class sessions will guide you in creating a poem based on memorable events from your life. After choosing the experiences that you want to share, you will write about them using regular prose writing. Then you will develop your prose story into a poem. But here’s the fun! The final poems of all participants will be published in a small anthology of poems to share with family and friends.
