Unlocking Your Personal Stories

This workshop will help you compose and present your personal stories for live storytelling events. It will provide structure, in-class exercises, feedback, and collaboration, all designed to abundantly overcome barriers ranging from writer’s block to stage fright. You will discover how to channel your own experiences that will help you express humor, compassion, hope, healing, and yes – fun!

  • Session: 1 week (September 21, 2019)
  • Cost: $60
  • Class Size: 6 – 16 students accepted into class

About the Instructor: Scott Levy
Scott Levy teaches storytelling and comedy writing at Chicago’s famed Second City Training Center. He is a multiply published short story and satirical writer. He taught the well-received “Story Not Plot” workshop for CCAC in November 2018. A former Cincinnatian, he was a music host at the late, lamented WNKU, and a founding member of The Monkeytime Comedy Troupe.
