CCAC Introduction to Guitar

Introduction to Guitar focuses on:

  1. Technique: Introduction to basic guitar skills
  2. Ensemble: Learning guitar music as a group of two or more
  3. Recital: Learning to perform in a guitar recital

This class is for beginner students interested in learning guitar in a group setting!

  • Ages: 5 – 12
  • Session: 10 weeks. Schedule and availability will be determined, based on enrollment.
  • Cost: $20 per class or $120 per 10-week session
  • Class Size: Minimum of 4 students needed to run class.
  • More Information: Bring your classical guitar and an open, “beginner mind.” Student guitars available at a discount; contact instructor at for details!
  • How to Register: Email with “Introduction to Guitar” in the subject line. Registration will be confirmed via email, with tuition due prior to the first day of class.

About the Instructor: Manuel Maria Susarret, M.Ed.
Born and raised in New York City, Manuel has studied, taught and performed music ranging from the classical to Afro-Cuban for 50+ years. Manuel earned his Masters’ degree in Montessori Education at Xavier University. He teaches at the Early Childhood Education Online program at the University of Cincinnati, and is a consultant at Children’s Meeting House Montessori School in Loveland. In his “spare time”, this bi-lingual New Yorican enjoys his mother Edith Susarret Marrero’s art exhibits, CCM classical guitar workshops, Kai Kweol Caribbean Music and Dance, Brazilian Samba, collaborating with other artists, singing with the World House Choir and the Martin Luther King Chorale, and spending time with his wife Clare, eight grown children, 8 grandchildren, and his two great-grandsons.
