Prerequisite: The CCAC Guitar Workshop is available to any student currently enrolled in Beginning Classical Guitar
Guitar Workshop focuses on four key learning opportunities in a peer-group setting:
1. Technique: Refining basic skills, including warm up exercises, left hand and right hand technique, ear training and sight reading, and improvisation strategies.
2. Ensemble: Learning to perform music written for two or more guitars.
3. Master Class: Students will take turns presenting a short guitar piece to an invited master guitarist for feedback, questions and answers.
4. Recital: At the end of the workshop, students will perform one or more guitar ensemble pieces as a culminating experience.
- Ages: 5+ (all ages)
- Session: 10 weeks
- Cost: $20 per class or $120 for 10-weeks (scholarships available).
- Class Size: Minimum of 4 students needed to run class.

About the Instructor: Manuel Maria Susarret, M.Ed.
Born and raised in New York City, Manuel has studied, taught and performed music ranging from the classical to Afro-Cuban for 50+ years. Manuel earned his Masters’ degree in Montessori Education at Xavier University. He teaches at the Early Childhood Education Online program at the University of Cincinnati, and is a consultant at Children’s Meeting House Montessori School in Loveland. In his “spare time”, this bi-lingual New Yorican enjoys his mother Edith Susarret Marrero’s art exhibits, CCM classical guitar workshops, Kai Kweol Caribbean Music and Dance, Brazilian Samba, collaborating with other artists, singing with the World House Choir and the Martin Luther King Chorale, and spending time with his wife Clare, eight grown children, 8 grandchildren, and his two great-grandsons.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
