About the Instructor: Thiago Camargo
Thiago Camargo is a pianist and accordionist from Brazil with classical and jazz training. He is also an actor, piano teacher, music theorist, and harmony and music educator. He has performed with many artists, playing jazz and Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) in a variety of Jazz clubs and auditoriums at all the São Paulo State and in other parts of the country. Some of his work and performances include: UNICAMP’S Big Band, Grupo (In)Vento, Grupo Cafezal, Madeiras Sonoras Big Band, The Bassist Arthur Maia, Noneto de Casa of Tatuí, Adilson Filho Octeto, with the singer Martina Marana, with the bassist Aaron Jacobs and with the drummer John Von Ohlen from Cincinnati, OH. In addition to many shows in Brazil, Thiago has held several shows, concerts and workshops at the USA, at places such as: University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Cincinnati Art Museum, Dee Felice Cafe and Blue Wisp Jazz Club.
