About the Exhibit

Boisali Biswas, engaged in an ongoing exploration of belonging, weaves both fibers and memories. While still strongly connected to the traditional art forms and techniques from India, the artist’s methods and techniques have progressively incorporated Western influences (her time in the US now exceeding her time in her own homeland.) This work examines the confluence of nostalgia and the simultaneous embrace of a new home—an adaptation and window into two worlds.
