Wednesdays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Students will explore creative applications for their photo-based works, including cyanotype (placing objects on a light-sensitive paper to be exposed by the sun and revealing gorgeous blue hues.) We will also explore emulsion lifts (dismantling Polaroids they’ve taken and stretching the image over new surfaces such as wood or cardstock.) The final stage of the class will encourage students to merge digital and alternative process photography in their own ways, getting some of the beautiful images off of their phones and into the tangible world.
