Be a part of the BLINK Parade on October 13!

Clifton Cultural Arts Center has been chosen to participate in this year’s BLINK Parade: all community members are invited to walk in the parade with CCAC displaying lanterns celebrating our individual Uptown identities.

Join CCAC at one of two free workshops for community members to create their own lanterns to display at the parade: registration is required to ensure we have enough art supplies!

  • Wednesday, September 14 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Corryville Recreation Center (2823 Eden Avenue)
  • Wednesday, September 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Clifton Recreation Center (320 McAlpin Avenue)

Walking in the parade is not required to attend workshop: families may create lanterns to hold while they watch the parade!

How to Register:

Select your preferred workshop date from the dropdown menu below. Input the number of people attending the workshop and hit “add to cart”, then follow the checkout instructions to complete registration!

The BLINK Parade is the community’s spotlight during BLINK; it creates a ceremony and ritual of beginning that many different groups of communities and community members can be involved in. The Parade is also an opportunity to celebrate our unique identities outwardly with pride (real or fantasy!), and create a magical shared experience, together. The collective impact of thousands of footsteps, faces, and voices, brings human power to the electrifying BLINK event, with many individual streams of light contributing to a greater whole.

Led by ish, the 2022 BLINK Parade will kick off BLINK on Thursday, October 13th around 7:30pm (subject to change) and will run through the Central Business District (exact route to be announced).
