Grades 3-4

Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

To orient students to working with clay, they will first explore the medium with water-based clay so that they can take sculptures home that will dry the same day. Next, they will create a small-scale polymer clay sculpture, which will be fired off-site then painted/bedazzled in the subsequent class. Finally, they will have fun exploring the potter’s wheel to throw a small pot or vase with earthenware clay, which can be kiln-fired just like the professionals do! Preregistration by January 28, 2022 required.
