Lisa Andrews, MEd, RD, LD has been a registered dietitian for 30 years with experience in clinical, community, and culinary nutrition. As the owner of Sound Bites Nutrition, she shares her nutrition knowledge through freelance writing, cooking demos, and educational presentations. Brian Grubb is a professional horticulturist with more than 20 years of experience. He received BS in horticulture from West Virginia University and MS in horticulture from Colorado State University. His professional career activities focused on the production of native woody plants for reforestation in both Colorado and Oregon. His extracurricular pursuits are in horticulture as well, focusing on food systems, for home and community-based agriculture. Brian worked at the Beaverton Farmers Market (BFM) in Portland Oregon for 3 years on weekends. BFM is recognized as Portland, OR’s longest continuously running farmer’s market. He was a previous board member of OEFFFA, Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association. Brian is currently the program coordinator and Assistant Professor-Educator for the Bachelor of Science in Horticulture in the School of Planning at the University of Cincinnati. You will always find herbs growing in Brian’s garden.

Carol Mundy is the former president (and longtime member) of the Herb Society of Greater Cincinnati. A naturalist, speaker, and writer, she is also owner of “The Crow Knows” consulting and education service. Carol has been studying plants and their uses throughout history for over 40 years. She taught for the University of Cincinnati and Hamilton County Park District for many years and continues to offer lectures and workshops through community education. Carol has taught classes about urban wildlife, historical uses of plants, native plants and weed identification for Master Gardeners in numerous counties. For more than 20 years, she has been the host of a weekly radio program “Outdoor Life” on WMKV. Her program features unique topics and interviews tying together nature, science, art and culture. Her botanical projects have included plant surveys for Spring Grove Cemetery and The Children’s Home of Cincinnati, and the design of the historical display for The Ohio Governors’ Residence Heritage Garden & Lloyd Medicinal Garden. Carol has been awarded the Citation for Horticulture Education from the Garden Club of Ohio.

Peachy Seiden is a Licensed and Registered Dietitian with a Private Nutrition Consulting Practice. She counsels clients on weight loss, weight maintenance, disease prevention and obtaining good health through nutrition. She also conducts weekly Healthy Cooking with an Ethnic Flair on Saturdays. In the spring and summer months Peachy utilizes neighborhood Farmers’ markets and teaches From Farm to Table Cuisine.

During her career, Peachy has worked in management and clinical positions in various health care settings. At a college level, Peachy has taught Foods and Nutrition, Food Safety and Sanitation and other sciences and food related courses. Peachy was an Academic Instructor of Nutrition at The Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati, Christ College of Nursing and Hondros College of Nursing.

Peachy’s skill in cooking and recipe development began at an early age and continued on to adulthood. This passion, combined with her expertise in nutrition makes Peachy’s Health Smart Cooking School, (www.PeachysHealthSmart.com) the place to learn healthy cooking and food preparation. As an avid gardener, she uses many of her home grown herbs and vegetables in the cooking classes.

Peachy’s first book MAKING LIFE PEACHY, is a guide to a healthy lifestyle and a cookbook with her own recipes. Peachy’s second book, Peachy’s Health Smart Cooking School Cookbook, is an expansion of the recipes she has developed and taught at PEACHY’S HEALTH SMART COOKING SCHOOL.

Peachy obtained her BS in Dietetics at Loyola University, Chicago, Ill. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Ill and finished her doctorate requirements at University of Cincinnati.
