Relocation Fact Sheet

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Overview

The Clifton Cultural Arts Center will be relocating from our current home at 3711 Clifton Avenue in September 2018. CCAC’s original home, the 53,000 sq. ft., 1906 Clifton Elementary School building, is slated to become a new CPS neighborhood school, serving children from Clifton, CUF and Spring Grove Village.

CCAC is a multi-purpose community arts and cultural center that has seen an attendance of more than 240,000 individuals and families since opening in September 2008. A hub for creativity and community connections, CCAC provides classes in five disciplines, summer camps, free community performances, educational programs, art exhibitions, space for events, meetings, offices, studios and rehearsals, and has served as a community learning center partner for Fairview-Clifton German Language School, Rockdale Academy and South Avondale Elementary

Frequently Asked Questions

Have you found your next location?
Our Site Selection Committee has looked into more than a dozen potential sites, and is narrowing the list down. A blue-ribbon Task Force was announced in December 2017 with the charge of evaluating potential sites against the CCAC board-created Guiding Principles.

What is CCAC looking for in a new home?

  • Approximately 30,000 sq. ft.
  • 50-60 parking spaces
  • Accessibility

Where will funds come from for a new location?
Until we have determined the exact location of our new home, we will not know exactly how much we will need; CPS will reimburse approximately $1.45 million in capital improvements to the 1906 Clifton School building, and we will begin a capital campaign to raise remaining funds later this year.

How can I become involved?

  • Host or attend a home gathering to generate ideas and learn from each other.
  • Tell us what you would like to see at CCAC’s new location by emailing: info@cliftonculturalarts.org.
  • Donate online to support CCAC’s programs, classes and events during this transition

Will Wednesdays on the Green continue?
Yes! CCAC is partnering with Cincinnati Parks to bring our weekly summer concert series to the iconic Burnet Woods bandstand beginning on May 30, 2018.

Will classes continue?
Yes! Classes will continue in our current location through August 2018, and we will host classes at other locations in Clifton after we vacate the 1906 Clifton School building.
