CCAC’s Eurovision Watch Party & Potluck
Watch the 71st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Burgas, Bulgaria on the big screen in the McKillip Theater. We’ll have a European potluck, drinks, voting, prizes, and a lot of fun. The livestream starts at 3:00 pm. Bar and theater open at 2:30 pm. All ages are welcome and we’ll have coloring pages for the kids!
Eurovision is the world’s largest live music event, an annual international song competition organized by the European Broadcasting Union where countries send original songs and performers to compete. First started in 1956 to unite post-war Europe, it has grown into a massive cultural phenomenon featuring public broadcasters from around the world. Known for extravagant and campy performances, diverse musical genres, and suspenseful voting by national juries and the public, the contest has helped launch the international careers of musicians like ABBA and Celine Dion.
When visiting CCAC by car, please use the shared lot directly behind our building, which can be accessed off of Hosea Ave. The Clifton United Methodist Church’s lot, accessible off of Senator Pl, may be used as overflow and is connected via a few stairs connecting the two lots. We ask that you only use these lots while visiting CCAC or Dewey’s Pizza and move your vehicle before visiting any other locations around the Ludlow Business district.
If these lots are full, you may park along the street in many areas around our building. There are also two paid public lots that can be accessed via Ludlow or Howell Ave and are about a five-minute walk away.
