The Rooftop Sessions: Justin Dawson Quartet
Step onto The Rooftop for intimate and relaxing concerts at sunset. CCAC’s stocked bar, a lineup of talented local musicans, and a venue like no other are all you need to take your Thursday evenings to the top.
Concerts are totally free to attend if you bring your own chair, or reserve a seat around CCAC’s fire pit tables for $10.
Justin Dawson is a highly in demand bass player in Cincinnati and the Greater Midwest area. His skills and musicality on the acoustic and electric bass have allowed him to play with some of the best musicians in the world including Randy Brecker, Smokey Robinson, Antonio Hart, Terrell Stafford and Ralph Stanley to name a few. Justin is the curator of the weekly jam session at The Lounge in Nortside and will be releasing his first album under his name “Overflow” in the spring of 2026.
When visiting CCAC by car, please use the shared lot directly behind our building, which can be accessed off of Hosea Ave. The Clifton United Methodist Church’s lot, accessible off of Senator Pl, may be used as overflow and is connected via a few stairs connecting the two lots. We ask that you only use these lots while visiting CCAC or Dewey’s Pizza and move your vehicle before visiting any other locations around the Ludlow Business district.
If these lots are full, you may park along the street in many areas around our building. There are also two paid public lots that can be accessed via Ludlow or Howell Ave and are about a five-minute walk away.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move to the McKillip Theater on the third floor of CCAC’s building. Staff monitor the weather closely throughout the day of the concert and make a final decision in the afternoon. If the concert must move indoors, we will share that information on this page, on our socials, and with those who have reserved a spot.
