We are creators of jewelry, art and crafts since our grandparents. Our grandfather, a native Mayan from Guatemala used to lead a cooperative of hat makers back in the 1960’s. Their hats were crafted by hand and were exported to other countries like the U.S. Our father followed his steps in the early years of his life until we relocated to Costa Rica.
In 1996 we opened our gallery on Newbury St Boston MA. The name MAYA was chosen because of the link to our cultural background and heritage. We offered handwoven textiles, ceramic ornaments and handmade jewelry by Native American Navajo and Zuni artists, and by Mexican designers.
Today we offer about 75% of our jewelry and crafts online here at jewelrymaya.com and a full collection at our new gallery. MAYA is located in the charming neighborhood of Clifton in Cincinnati Ohio. We have lovely memories of Boston and are thankful to our clients that supported MAYA for 19 years. Now we look forward to create value for our new city through our service and latest collection of handmade jewelry and crafts.
