Travelogues: Drawings with Pen and Brush
Stewart Goldman
Travelogue: Drawings with Pen and Brush presents recent drawings by Cincinnati artist Stewart Goldman, the result of five decades of artistic inquiry into color, memory, and perception. Drawing from landscapes collected on his travels, Goldman shifts attention from subjects to the spaces around them, creating luminous compositions where light, shadow, and negative space carry equal weight. In these works, the surface is quietly shaped by absence as much as presence. The exhibition offers a contemplative encounter with a practice continually evolving between structure and openness, precision and mystery.
