Weekdays and Saturdays (by appointment)

Lessons focus on student-driven musical selections and classical guitar technique, provide opportunities to collaborate, improvise, and explore music of all styles and genres. Recitals offer opportunities to share your music with close friends and family.

Manuel Maria Susarret, M.Ed.
Born and raised in New York City, bi-lingual NuYorican Montessori educator Manuel Susarret has studied, taught and performed music ranging from the classical to Afro-Cuban since the 1950s. Tracing his musical roots to church choir, community orchestra and music theory classes at New York’s Henry Street Settlement Music School, Manuel earned his Masters’ degree in Montessori Education at Xavier University. Manuel participated in the CCM Summer Classical Guitar Workshops for 25 years. He taught Early Childhood Education at the University of Cincinnati, and is a technology consultant at Children’s Meeting House Montessori School. In his “spare time,” Manuel enjoys performing traditional Puerto Rican music, collaborating with fellow guitarist Bob Graff (Gypsie Jam Duo) and Kai Kweol Caribbean Music and Dance with Caribbean choreographer Flora Leptak Moreau, singing with the World House Choir and the Martin Luther King Chorale, mounting art exhibits for his late mother, Clifton artist Edith Susarret Marrero, and spending time with his growing family (his wife Clare Weinkam and their eight grown children, 8 grandchildren, and their three great-grandsons).
