Daglio

Alberto Daglio is a Salvadoran/American singer/songwriter who rose to prominence with his band Ultravioleta and various other solo projects from 2004-2010. He himself defines himself as a “direct descendant of pop rock that was made in the 80’s and 90’s in Latin America”, son of the MTV Latino era, in fact, some of his greatest influences have always been artists and bands of the caliber of Soda. Stereo, Phobia, The Law, Jorge Drexler.

Among his biggest hits with the band we can find “Regresas otra vez” and “Radio”, which reached #1 on Radio Femenina (El Salvador). The Salvadoran/American artist is also a composer and producer of songs such as: “Un Poco de Felicidad” created for a Coca-Cola spot in 2008, in which several Salvadoran artists also collaborate. In the same year, in addition, he made the music for a summer TV spot for Pilsener Beer.

Alberto Daglio composed the song “Love N’ Roll”, the main theme of the “Love and Roll” campaign, a local initiative in collaboration with Ale Martore, with which they achieved a Guinness record for “Greatest Number of Consecutively Visited Country Capitals by Motorcycle” in 2011. The event aimed to help malnourished children in El Salvador.

After the dissolution of Ultravioleta in 2010, Daglio takes a break to dedicate himself to other areas of his life. Later he traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he resumed his musical career back in 2018 with the band “Smoke & Mirrors”, whose song lyrics are all written in English, except for the song “Borderline Love Song”, which is bilingual.

During 2020 we were able to see him invited to the opening of the concert by Venezuelan artists Frank Quintero and Pedro Castillo (Aditus) in Cincinnati for the “Electrico Químico” tour.

At the beginning of 2021 Daglio released a single called “La Puerta Oculta”. In this first song, Daglio tells us through his lyrics the adventures he lives while going through that “Hidden Door”. The artist, on this occasion, accompanies his music with a graphic novel. There is no doubt that this EP is the product of the union between his great passion for music and science fiction, where the character created “Daglio” is a fictional version of himself.

In June 2021, Daglio becomes a band made up of Steven Combs, Zakk Smed, and Brandon Spradlin, with whom they finish recording the last songs that will be released at the end of the same year. Armed with a mixture of digital sounds, distorted guitars, Latin percussion, and lyrics in English and Spanish, Daglio reinvents himself as a true piece defined as “Electro Pop Rock Retro in Spanish”, creating in turn a world full of energy. where adventure and rhythm have no limit.

In addition to the circle around the bandstand, several roads in and around Burnet Woods offer on-street parking. Look through the map below to find new areas to park if you want to avoid the traffic!

PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you do not park in CCAC/Dewey’s shared parking lot off Hosea Ave, as this is reserved for Dewey’s patrons and events taking place within CCAC’s new home.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move to the McKillip Theater at CCAC’s new home (3412 Clifton Ave), one block north of Burnet Woods. CCAC staff monitor the weather closely throughout the day of the concert and make a final decision in the afternoon (typically around 4 pm). If the concert must move indoors, we will share that information on this page, on our socials, and with our email list.
