Drawing the Brick

Ages 16+

Tuesdays, 6:30 – 9:00pm

Combine drawing with Lego construction in this outside the box course offering! Instruction is centered around Lego creations made by each student at the start of class. Once a Lego sculpture is made, your knowledge of that created space is heightened beyond just that of a casually viewed object, which opens possibilities to quickly learning different drawing concepts and techniques. Great for beginning drawing students as well as those looking for a fresh approach. Explore different types of drawn space, perspectives, and more. Bring your sense of fun – Legos are provided!

“The AAC’s Community Education program has been my longest standing teaching engagement (eleven years), and, in many ways, the most important to my development as an instructor.Over the years, I’ve learned that the challenge of being a good instructor is to identify the student’s individual needs, as well as his or her subject, and to adapt my instruction to those needs. The AAC’s Community Education program has been indispensable to me, for the diversity of courses I’ve been able to teach, as well as all the great students I’ve had the privilege of teaching.”
