Did you know that your brain needs exercise just like the rest of your body? Have you tried making music for exercise? As a musician and a PWP (Person with Parkinson’s), I truly am convinced that my music has boosted my ability to keep my symptoms manageable. This session will include facts, research, musicians and hands on experiences on how music works to keep your brain healthy and strong!

About the Instructor: Amy Dennison
Amy Dennison is a teacher, musician, and administrator. She has been connecting music to people of all ages for almost 40 years. She has been the director of education at the CCM Preparatory at UC since 2001. An active performer as well as a person with PD, Amy believes that finding and committing to what you are passionate about can help you live a rich and purposeful life in spite of you situation. Amy’s presentation will include hands-on use of various musical instruments.
