DAGLIO is a Latin alternative rock band led by Salvadoran-American singer-songwriter Alberto Daglio . With a sound that fuses the energy of 80’s and 90’s Latin American pop rock with modern elements, DAGLIO has achieved a unique proposal. Influenced by artists and bands such as Soda Stereo , Fobia , La Ley , Jorge Drexler , Los Fabulosos Cadillacs , Moenia , and Café Tacvba , their music transcends borders and connects with diverse generations.
Throughout his career, Alberto Daglio , as leader and vocalist, has been a fundamental part of Ultravioleta , a band with which he achieved great success in El Salvador. Songs like “Regresas otra vez” and “Radio” remained at the top of Radio Femenina . In addition, he composed songs for advertising campaigns such as “Un Poco de Felicidad” for Coca-Cola and the music for a Pilsener Beer commercial . In 2011, he participated in the “Love and Roll” campaign , which broke a Guinness record, and helped raise funds to combat child malnutrition in El Salvador.
In 2018, DAGLIO regrouped in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a new lineup consisting of Cesar Donald Vanegas Jr. , Brandon Spradlin , Mark Becknell , and Alberto Daglio . Since their return, the band has released a series of singles that demonstrate their evolution and creativity. In 2021, “La Puerta Oculta” marked the beginning of a new era, with a style that combines Electro Pop Rock with Retro en Español .
DAGLIO subsequently continued to build their sound with the singles “Ilógico” , “Himno” (feat. Douglas Torres ) and “Soledad” , the latter appearing on the soundtrack of the Salvadoran film “La Balada de Hortensia” , directed by Arturo Menéndez . These releases were a reflection of the band’s musical evolution, with lyrics that explore deep themes and a vibrant blend of Latin and modern influences.
